Got Barrel For Hawken Build, Where To Get Parts?
« on: March 23, 2022, 11:45:42 PM »
Got this DeHaas .58 36" rifle barrel, and want to acquire stock and everything else I need for the build.
I noticed Track quit carrying the Hawken line. Where is the best place to get the rest?

Barrel has taper 1"=15/16

Try Log Cabin Shop in Lodi,Ohio for butt plate, trigger guard, lock and sights.I have a trigger about half done and I use no castings for any parts.Price is $75 including postage.I have modified my price from $70 to $75 but will pay the USPS charge.

Muzzleloader Builders Supply for most of the parts they have RE Davis Hawken lock which I bought from them around a month ago. Pecatonica has stocks I have used their stocks CM3 but they have walnut too I like working with them. Tiger hunt has half stocks blanks that might be able to be used if you want to go that route. I am using a Tiger Hunt stock on my current build nice wood. I am using a Roller trigger set in my current build too. Track still has a lot of the parts in stock for Hawkens screws for one thing but its harder to look them up without a Hawken kit to pull the part numbers from.

Generic Hawken or do you have a specific timeframe and style in mind? The early J&S Hawkens were different than later S. Hawken rifles.

That is a good question, but similar to a rifle I used to own. This was a Bridger from Track

Might have to resort to making the parts.
