Hello Mike, and thank you for sharing this rifle. There's an old book titled Suhler Feuerwaffen showing the very best work from the Suhl, Germany gunmakers ca 1750, including closeups of carving and engraving. There was a guild there, and a glass plate is shown with initials of the master gunstockers. Your initials would fit there. This is a classic example of a Masterpiece rifle from mid eighteenth century Germany, in design and execution.
I still enjoy Plan n Perdy rifles, and various styles. Your work has always been crisp and tight. But I have to stop and marvel at this piece, for it's historical accuracy, and for your work. None better, ever. Bob
PS - did you make the lock with blind tapped screws, prior to sculpting and engraving?
