Horn Cup and Silver Case
« on: December 06, 2020, 09:11:37 PM »
So while at the show in Ohio back in October I found myself in need of a cup to take some special 12 year old Scottish Covid Prevention Elixir so I purchased this great chimed horn cup from Daniel Boling . Realizing that it would not survive long in my box I made this silver container based on an 18th century English Patchbox to keep it protected .There's a lot of appropriate symbolism in the engraving in these interesting times.......

A man has to do what a man has to do.

Is your silver protector cup whiskey proof as well?   Could it serve as a cup for a buddy to share in a snort?

Hard to tell the scale with the pictures, how big is the cup?

I like both, very nicely done.

I was kinda hoping someday to meet you in person for the same reason.   I would even buy the first round.

Mitch, beautiful silver cup and great engraving.  And to Daniel, great job on the cup, well done my friend.

Really a sweet piece Mitch, imaginative and beautifully executed. But if you were worried about it being broken in your "box" how do you propose to protect the bottle of elixir?

Stay well and looking forward to seeing you after I get my vaccine shots.

Oh gee Mitch.  That is gorgeous.  Makes me want to have you engrave that dragon and snake on some container for me.

Your engraving is beautiful, and you capture the feel of images from 200+ years ago.

Well done sir.   God Bless,   Marc
