Loves these Southern Gals
« on: November 28, 2020, 09:46:20 PM »
I do love them, yes I do. TheGRITS, girls raised in the south, and these mountain gals too.
Bottom is the maple Poboy that began the other 2 builds.
Walnut in the middle has Boyd Henry 45 cal barrel ca 1971
Mounts are Myron Carlson.
Top is my idea based on PJ McDonald family build.
50 cal Douglas 1inch x31.
Under rib rivited on.
As you can see, I like the Durs Egg locks, and l&r triggs.
Mounts by Dave R Pennington

Hope yall enjoy the pics.
I hope to finish these, and a couple others over the winter.
If I can stay away from doctors. Hahahahaha
Thanks and best regards. Dave  8) 8)

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the pictures of your builds. Just wondering , Are you going to take any of your builds for a shooting date on the range?
Keep up the fun , and good work. Love em Long Rifles.

Take care ,
Steven

HJi Steven, most likely, especially the walnut one. I know the barrel is a shooter, as is the 50 douglass, I dont believe it was ever fired on the gun it came from.
Thanks. Dave 8) 8)

Brother Dave, we are well in Alabama and I picked me up a sweet Ga peach of a southern gal. She used to make fun of us folks over here in Bama till she met me,  :o Now she knows for sure we are all crazy over here!  ;D Good to hear you are well.

Dave,

Beautiful Gals! Recognized that top one right off as cousin to one of mine. Looking great! You sure are going to have a full dance card come range day.

Regards,

Paul
