I sat in this one for a day, some years back. The field was in oats, and had 6 doe Muley's feeding around, then they bedded down right in front of the blind. They jumped up and
left the field, up the little hill to the right side and a ROUND black bear waddled in from the left side. He fed around in the oats, stood right beside the 100 yard target frame for a while, then
he must have seen movement inside the blind. He walked right up, stood up and looked into the muzzle of my 14 bore rifle. He was just a little round fat 3 year old. I had a bear tag & he would have been good eating, but I had orders not to shoot BoBo. Quinn's mother in law had dibs on him for her Christmas pasteries. Quinn and his farther in law collected BoBo the next week.
I was hoping for a whitetail buck, but none showed up, just the muley does.
