Top pic is a BC Pbox w/ hidden knuckles which are held together w. steel rivets, next down is a BC w/ exposed knuckles.....made these 2 ways....one w/ soldered closed knuckles and the other way w/ a soldered on hinge plate which made the knuckles less high and did a neater job.
The raised hinge is the easiest to make.....only 2 "U" shaped pcs and no knuckles....only cutouts. But this style is non-traditional. The Lehigh Pbox has a flat hinge and the bottom hinge is curved, like most lid end hinges.....Fred

I don’t see the knuckless hinges used on some Lehigh’s, or the invisible hinges used on some Southern longrifles.
