The Rifle Schoppe is making these a 3 grand a pop. Has anyone bought one. Has anyone built and shot one. They are pretty but look like they may be uncomfortable to shoot.
Thanks

I have a friend who owns a "paddle butt " musket, and it is actually very user friendly , and a nice shooter. It shoulders like any other musket. I like them.

If you aren't aware of this already, the Newtowne musket is a fake/costume piece, not an original 17th century matchlock. The barrel has 18th century French proofmarks, IIRC.
