I found this link from another forum. This is an excellent resource for Southern guns and accoutrements.
The Edenton NC Historical Commission has 3 excellent articles (with illustrations) on period hunting bags and accoutrements including horns, turnscrews, picks, "gun hammers" etc. They are well worth the read.
