History of the Micmac Horn
« on: August 30, 2009, 09:33:17 PM »
What is the History of the Micmac Indian Horn? The work is Intricate and seems almost  Celtic to me.  Harris Maupin has a nice one on the CLA site.  Also what style of Bag would work with this Horn a simple open top Indian Bag? This seems a good place to ask.          Thanks P. B.

This is a very important question, and too important to be ignored.  So I will weigh in here.

I have no idea.

I hope someone does and will share.

The MicMAc (paddy wack) ;D  were one of 6 of the Algonquin tribes in New England.  The designs on the "MicMac" horns were used by all of the 6 tribes, but for some reason these horns are known as MicMac horns.  The designs are ancient.
