Hello,

I recently got this great knife from Mr. McClure.

Finally I have a knife blade long enough to reach to the bottom of the peanut jar!

Casey makes a great knife. The fit, finish, balance, the blade has a very pleasing distal taper, and the blade sharpens to a razor.

I made a simple sheath using elk rawhide for an inner sheath and bark tan deer for the outer sheath.

If you are looking for a quality knife for a good value I can recommend Mr. McClure.

I have 3 of Casey's knives, one is a neck knife and one is a bag knife, these two have antler handles with pewter bolsters. The third one was made from a file and has a deer leg bone handle and has a 9" blade and 13 1/2" over all length. They are all sharp as razors. I met Casey at the 2019 CLA show and he is a wonderful craftsman, very personable and very knowledgeable in his trade. I like the style of knife that Casey produces as they are period correct for an early style blade. If you are in the market for a nice knife you can't go wrong with one of his products.

I have to agree, I've got two. I got mine before he had the maker's mark but the look is pretty distinctive, no mistaking who made them and they are definitely sharp.

Doug, have to agree with you.  I got a must smaller one in July and very, very sharp along with great lines for a knife with only a blade length of 5 inches.
And nice job on the sheath.
