Got it done today
« on: March 11, 2021, 12:49:06 AM »
Got the horn done today that I started with yesterday. I normally finish a horn a day but decided to slow down a little. Very simple horn 13 1/2 inches outside curve with two bands and a horn spout. The base plug is 2 3/8 inch diameter and is hollowed out. The base is curly maple dye with walnut stain and finished with bear grease and beeswax. Can be carried left or right side.

Ditto what Rich said.  Well done and welcome back to all the horn dust that settles around the shop.

Thank you everyone. Did not know how things were gonna to be returning to making horns after so long away. It feels great going to be pushing myself to making some different stuff in between powder horns.

Well you sure fell right back in. I remember when you used to post a horn one day that you made the day or night before. Great work as always, look forward to seeing more.

I really like that horn!   I like the asymetrical nature of it and how it works with the base plug and base band matching and then the small band and the tip matching.   The color is also great!
