1799 dated Springfield at auction

Morphy's April 27-30 auction, Lot# 1332 1799 dated Springfield. They have some good photos of the musket and a very detailed description.

This musket was from the Jonathan Peck Collection which was auctioned in April 2002 by Little John's, as Lot#2, priced realized $11k before the buyers premium. It also appears on pages 13-14 in Robert Ball's SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Shoulder Weapons 1795-1868, published in 1997.

I have some additional info concerning the lock, which I will be glad to share. If interested, send me a PM through the ALR.

I would like to be very clear about this musket, I am not endorsing this musket in any way. A careful viewing of the photos presented by Morphy's is necessary as there are some issues which are quite evident.
