Half Stock build
« on: March 25, 2021, 06:50:37 PM »
Number 4 is in the books....Im very happy with this one ! It’s pretty much an assembly of parts that I collected on the classifieds here over time.
This went together pretty quick and was fun to build. I did a few first time things on it like soldering on a rib and pipes , hand inlet the barrel , drilled the ramrod hole and poured a pewter nose cap. The barrel is a octagon to round tapered in .45 cal. So it’s a pretty light rifle. Tony

Very nice.  Looks like a real shooter.  Nice job on the poured cap.

Thanks Ken and Smylee. Surprisingly it shoots pretty well despite being such a light rifle as I tend to shoot heavier guns much better.

My thoughts exactly, as I looked over the pictures, Ken.
Then I saw you had already said what I was going to (say).

A very nice plain and simple rifle.I have a similar one started but have done nothing
to it in a long time.

Hi Tony,
I don't how I missed this.  Great little rifle!  Nice job.
