Alligator Priming Horn

A while back on the forum I was asking about the age of the spring-loaded primer valves we're all familiar with.  While I think they're fairly modern they do come in handy.  Made this years back when I first got into black powder.  Pretty crude but those who know me well call me crude and worse so fits my kit just right.  The poem is "When Huntin Meat, With Friends Compete, Or Yur Enemy A Fightin, Prime Ye Pan Gator In Hand, To Send Ye Ball A Biting".

Neat horn. "Alligator Priming Horn" made me think of that old Johnny Horton song "The Battle Of New Orleans"

Thanks fellas for the compliments!  Ironically I'm living in "Seminole Country" but now I have to be careful cause I have a son going to UF.  Half the family are Seminole fans, the other half, Gator fans.  I'm (dare I say it blasphemous as it is) indifferent.  As to hunting Gators of the reptilian kind - it is on my bucket list.  One of these days I'll have to put in for a tag.  I frequently see them at work and have had to catch em on occasion so the "thrill of the hunt" isn't so thrilling.  Have seen a couple 12 footers taken from our WMA.  Personally I prefer eating the 6 footer range = less hassle to clean.  Have a coworker who regularly hunts em with a stick bow and a fishin line rig.
