495 round ball mold shortage

Does anyone know why Lee and Lyman ball molds, particluarly .495, are out of stock everywhere and when will they be in stock again?  I've been wanting to get into making my own round balls since January.

Sorry - don't know.  Have you tried Tanner moulds in the UK?

NOE is another. Their moulds are super - beautifully made- I had 2, sold one to a friend

I had the same problem for .490 and .530( found the .530 lee)

Look at the suppliers on line catalogs and "OUT OF STOCK"is the word now and
the price gouging is going strong with no end in sight.I am glad our oldest son and I
stocked up a long time ago with what we needed and these items have nothing to do
with black powder.

I have all the molds I need but I bought a couple this past year and paid way too much. Best I can tell it's sorta settling down. I just hopped on ebay and there are several Lee .530 molds for $50. More than what they should go for but just a few months ago folks were jacking em' up to over $100

I have 82 sets of mould blocks .
I'm all "SET" for a week or two, now. 
Of those, only two sets are .495" RB, a Lee and a Lyman.
I'll have to do a test some day to see if one is more accurate than the other.
I've had these for a couple years - bought the Lee, then a friend gave me the Lyman blocks.

This fellow started out on cast boolit forum and is in Slovenia I think.
He makes great molds and shipping is fast. He only keeps a couple round ball molds in stock but they are top notch. I have a 2 cavity brass and all his molds fit Lee handles

& a 15 bore, round ball double cavity mould for only $78 Euros. That's currently only $114.74 Cdn.

Unless it sells tomorrow at our show, I have a double cavity .495 Lee mold for sale. Asking $50 at the show and will ship it for that amount. Message me tonight and I'll take it off the table tomorrow.
