I made my own by silver soldering a length of 1/16" drill rod (music wire) to a new 1/16" bit. I use "V" blocks and magnets.
Been thinking about this thread, and thought I might add a little of the joinery technique for those who might like to try it.
Holding the music wire and drill bit parallel to each other, I introduce the ends to the belt grinder so that I cut a bevel on both at the same time, about 1/4" long. Then I lay them into "V" blocks or secure them in the head and tail stock of my lathe to bring the ends together perfectly. Flux, and heat to red, add silver solder, let cool and file smooth. Make a drill bit as long as you like this way, any size.
