Need help identifying a maker

A friend brought this gun over today and wanted me to take it to CLA to sell. It’s unsigned. He did tell me that it was made by a fellow who lived in Kokomo Indiana. I would date this piece to the early to mid 1980s. To my understanding the maker had suffered the loss of some of his fingers due to an on the job accident involving electricity.
What I can say about it is that it is of very high quality of construction. The gun has a Rex Maxey 45 cal octagon to round barrel and a Haddaway lock, micro rear sights. I’d guess that it’s around 8 lbs. trigger pull (I didn’t measure) around 13 1/2”. I was told that the wood came from Kenneth Thompson of Slippery Rock Pa.. Anyway, I’ll have it on my table in Lexington. My buddy wants $2500.00.
