Longrifle lock
« on: August 05, 2021, 07:19:27 PM »
I have a longrifle with a lock that I need to do some work to and I'd like to know who made it to try to match parts. Theres a logo and what looks like a model number.

That’s a Haddaway lock. C. “Doc” Haddaway (deceased) of Louisville Ky.  Probably made in the 80s. Good quality lock. No parts out there for it. A Siler mainspring will fit if you have a failure.

Thank you very much. It's the frizzon I'm having a problem with. Someone was in that lock before I owned it and replaced the frizzon with one that's not for that lock. Now I can figure out the best thing to replace it with.

TOW sells a blank frizzen casting that might be filed to work in that lock.

The old Thompson Center frizzen is the exact same thing. Have you considered rehardenig or re-sole?

I'll check out track and compare one of my old Thompson frizzons.
