Martin Shell Rifle

These are the pictures of the Martin Shell rifle that I competed a just while ago I was originally going to post before I discovered that I hadn't posted the J.P. Beck ones. It has swamped .50 cal. Colerain and the stock was again supplied by Harrison Gunstocks. The lock is another Chambers Classic Ketland.  I hope you enjoy these pictures as well.

That is real nice work.  I always enjoy looking at the Martin Shell rifle in the Lancaster Rifle at Landis Valley Village book(I believe this gun, or one similar is on the cover) and one day would like to try and build one.  Great craftsmanship and a great looking gun.

Have seen an original. Shell was an awesome maker. The original which I have seen and handled was either a ladies or a boy's rifle. Just a slender, well balanced and elaborately decorated rifle.

Top notch wirework!
