New Finished Southern Gal

Good evening all. Here's pics of the rifle I just finished, using the parts I bought from Ustabee here.
42 inch Hoyt 38 cal swampt barrel, Chambers late ketland lock tuned by Brad Emig. So fast as to be scary.
Bplate,tguard made by unknown craftsman.,pipes and misc handmade by me. L and R number 6 triggers
Pecatonica did the barrel, lock,triggers, and bplate inletting on their Tennessee Mtn pattern
Specs are
Oal 59"
Lop 13 3/4
Drop  4"
Wt 7lbs
Barrel 42"
Finish is LMF nut brown, homebrew sealer, 4 coats true oil.
Metal cold blue rubbed back, tranny fluid covering

Owner is young fellow from Kentucky, near Cincinnati
He bought my Clay Smith Jaeger

I like that rifle a LOT! Been wanting a .38 cal for years and have just never gotten around to building one...

That looks real good &I like the.caliber. I have a .38 cal Goodoien barrel I have saved for
a Tenn rifle.  Not that I think that cal. is more accurate than a 36 or a .40, I like it because
It is oddball, or not as generic as the others.
You did a nice job on your rifle.

The last caplock I made was an English style target rifle for a 330 grain lubricated bullet and
a .375 Hoyt fast twist barrel that would reach out and touch whatever the sight was on.

 8) 8) 8)... Great looker, Dave,... I like that calibre, too,... a lot of the originals I have handled are in the .38cal range,... young man will be really happy with her,... WELL DONE,... ... CCF
