The assembled kit I looked at and function checked yesterday was fine in all functions.
The nipple was aligned with the hammer and the lock was smooth as well as the triggers.
The lock released easily using only the front trigger and worked as it should when set.
I thought Bob Woodfill said "Gemmer"but it may well be a Gibbons. It's my favorite and I
assisted the spur with checkering which adds to the safe cocking of the lock. The $1400
price makes it a limited market kit but it is aimed at the ones that can afford it.This is a
good kit and as the late and much missed Tom Dawson said."The best any of us will do
will be to make a representative type unless their name is Hawken."

Good info Bob, not sure I would buy the kit but when I am in the market again I would consider it after hearing the details from you,
