Any thoughts on where this plain rifle might have come from?

I am going to list this rifle for sale shortly and don't have a clue as to what area of the country it might have originated. Its very plain but pretty decent rifle. It appears to be in shooting condition, approx 36 caliber. The percussion lock does not fit the mortise so we know its not original. The rest of the rifle looks to be all original. The rear sight has been move forward probably for aging eyes!
The "curl" is faux but is very well done. Reminds me of some of the Leman rifles I have seen. There is no marking of any kind on the rifle except the ones on the lock.
I got it in a trade from a person in AZ but I have no idea where it may have originated. Any thoughts?
Dennis

My guess, and that's all it is, Western Pennsylvania, Allegheny, or Ohio, and possibly a commercial contract for western migration, about 1830's or 40's. Looks like it should be in Whiskers book on Western Pa. guns.
