Anyone know Cheri Hopkins carved horn?

Found this horn with an amazing eagle on it.  Carving is very fine and detailed.  It is signed Cheri Hopkins ‘78.  Any know this maker and is it 1978 or older in your opinion?

Sorry, haven't heard of this person before.
Beautifully carved indeed. Not your "normal" scrimshaw.
1978 for sure.

Not an antique if 1978.  You might have better luck posting it in the contemporary accoutrements folder.

Looks like it may have started life as one of Earl Cureton's horns!

Look like one to me, that being said, I believe that Cheri was a very talented woman!

Nice work. Is it possible that it's her 78th horn?
