Just wondering, is Don still in business? I had heard he was having health problems.

Last I heard from a couple months ago is he may still have parts but he is no longer doing the shaped & inlayed stocks. I believe he was getting barrels from Bobby Hoyt or Ed Rayle. I will be building a squirrel rifle from his parts on my next project but putting them into my own maple blank for a client who bought the parts from him.
Yes, his health was an issue and he sadly lost his wife this year. Sounds like he would welcome your phone call though.

Give him a call. I know he was using someone to cut his stocks, so you might be able to get one. I'm sure he would like some conversation.

Yes, Don is still on the mend and receiving treatments.  I visited him about a month ago and picked up a full stock Hawken parts kit from him.  He is using a guy to make the stocks for him, but I did not ask who it was.  You can call him on his cell, 540-591-9017, and leave a message.  If he does not recognize the number, he does not pick up, so leave your number and tell him what you are looking for.  He has difficulty boxing it all up and will use friends to do that.  I just drove there and picked it up to avoid that.  Tell him Jerry Graham gave you his cell number.
