The Kentucky Rifle Hunting Pouch by Madison Grant shows many original homemade antler measures, though many/most of them are 19th century.

The Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution by George Neuman and Frank Kravic also shows some very simple ones.

You can also do a google search for antler powder measures and short starters by using the phrases:

1.  Antler Powder Measure
2.  Antler Short Starter

Thank You Artificer. I will punch those up this afternoon. I am taking a rest from cutting moose antlers. One thing is for sure i am going to phone around and see if a friend has a bandsaw. I thought a hacksaw would be OK .HA HA fooled me. Dan :-\

I only cut Moose Antlers once, REAL glad I had a band saw to use.  Still have a few chunks stored away I think.  Grin.
