« on: October 12, 2009, 09:03:20 PM »
Hi: Where do you BP builders get your supplies? I can do some machining threading etc. but don't want to try casting trigger guards etc.

Get a hold of a Muzzle Blasts  (National Muzzle Loading Rifle Assoc.) or Muzzleloader Magazine they are both full of adds for parts, etc.

If you can get to a shop like Dixon's or Log Cabin, etc you'll also have a great time and spend more money on things you hadn't even considered, till you saw them up close!  Then you just got to have them!

The first thing is to have a plan, like, have a certain style of rifle in mind you want to build. Other wise you end up with drawers and shelves full of parts you aren't gonna use. I am speaking from experience ;D

Smoke, I don't know where you live, if it's anywhere near Dixon's M/L shop, you gotta go there with a list. they don't have a catalog, but have most everything Track has, and more. Plus you can get some advice on your project.

Smoke, if you click on the rifle logo above, it will take you to the home page, then click on the links page and look for the parts suppliers.  Also what Acer said, about planning and research first.  The kits you mentioned are generally a collections of parts, and do not contain instructions, so books, videos are in order also, kind of a generic instruction set.
