Latest Batch of Horn Work
« on: February 01, 2022, 08:07:56 PM »
Here are a few pieces I'll have on my table at the Lewisburg Show later this week.

Top to bottom - a Berks County screw tip with litharge "spots", a compass box with engraved horn lid, an engraved flat bag horn, and Stephen Tambling's "Courteous Lady" horn (see P. 104-105 in Dresslar)

Stop by, say hello and have a look.

John

Can't make the trip John, but hope to see you next month.  Great looking pieces and I agree with Rich, won't be making the trip to Altoona next month.  Sigh.

I always drool over ur work.  Ive tried to buy a couple of them in the past and they are sold when I go back.  You would think I would learn.

Those are some really cool horns! How do you pencil out your half circle borders that wrap around the horn? Tape measure, dividers, or just start drawing them on and fidget with the proportions a bit as you get closer to wrapping the border around? Thank you.
