Found a bottle of "ol' Griz" lube by the Hawken Shop in a box in my basement, anybody used that before? Any good? Smells like ammonia with a little soap in it to me.

Old Griz is basically Windex with additives. Don't know what the additives are.
Yeah, it's good stuff. I finished off my last gallon a year, or so, ago. I lost contact with the maker, who has moved, alternately, to Colorado, Florida, and Arkansas, by way of who knows where.
Last I heard, he was somewhere in Northern Arkansas, but don't know where. However, there are other lubes available that are good enough to negate the time and trouble to find him and order another gallon.
