From the tip of the finial to the very tip of the tip comes to a little under 8 1/2". The stopper adds about 3/4". Walnut two piece butt that is threaded 1/2-8. The antler tip is two pieces held by 3 wooden pegs. The bands are heated, tapped on and secured with 3 steel pins each. It is on its way to Alaska.

Just possibly the perfect small caliber horn or a "day horn" for any caliber. Who ever in Alaska got this is a lucky person.
