The Davidson County Genealogy Society and Davidson County Historical Museum have invited local historian and author C. Michael Briggs for a book signing and program on the Davidson Longrifle School. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 18th at the Davidson County Historical Museum at 2 South Main Street in Lexington, N.C. The book signing will begin at 6:30 PM and the program will start promptly at 7 P.M.
Briggs published a 314 page book in 2021 titled
The Longrifle Makers of the Davidson School. 
Briggs will have on display for the evening five of his eagle patchbox Davidson School longrifles. The Museum will have on display their longrifles signed by Henry Ledford and Andrew Long.
