I thought to share some photos of my newly finished Fusil de Chasse that I built from Pecatonica River component parts. It was an enjoyable build and I am really happy with how it turned out as well as how good it shoots. They are such graceful looking long guns.

Great job. Why didn't you use the FDC sideplate?

Hi- I made the horn but not this pouch. The serpent side plate that was supplied is too long for this lock so I used a Fusil Fin side plate instead.

The side plate you used is referred to as the cloud pattern of the late fusil de trait style, also found often enough on New England fowlers. FDCs should use this, or close variations.
