A chance to see some of the published guns on exhibit
« on: July 18, 2022, 02:24:45 AM »
I know how difficult it is to see original work. Here’s a chance to see a number of fine long rifles by well known period makers. The Rockford museum in Lancaster Pa. A number of these guns were published by Shumway and others. Here’s your chance till October.  BJH

PS the lighting is really good!!

My wife and I were down last week.  The exhibit is very well done with Lancaster guns as well as some from different regions also.  As BJH mentioned, the lighting is good and almost all of the guns you can view from both sides in the glass cases they use.  Some really awesome clocks and other furniture made by 18th century Lancaster area craftsmen as well.   So next week at Kempton, when you get your judging feedback and they say "needs to see original work" - no excuses!
