Thanks Louie! That's a beauty for sure, and thanks for posting the pictures!

Eister was one of the better makers and it's nice to see one of his rifles.

Beautiful!
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Thanks Louie, this is a great rifle. I remember of holding it in my hands years ago at the KRA. I’ll never get tired of seeing Eister’s work.

I have always marvelled at Eister's understanding of rococco art.  His carving and engraving always has a sense of movement.

We had in this area,Kenova WVa a fine long rifle maker whose name was Glen (Fireball) Napier and he made several copies of an Eister
rifle very similar to this one for a local coal millionaire. The coal baron had him use my locks which he insisted on.The gunmaker thought  they were too expensive and said they're too fancy inside ;D. He was one of the many modern makers of repro long rifles that thought the lock had to be the cheapest thing on the gun. That's a beautiful rifle shown here and the Eister name revived this old memory from long, long ago.

I got to look at this rifle up close at the KRA show, all I can say is the pictures don't do it justice. Thank you Louie for posting the pictures and thanks for letting me handle this great rifle.
