Latest creation from the gunshop of Chris Walker,... premium flamed maple, hand forged hardware, true to style of the famous Lawing, Beals and other upper East Tennessee  makers of the mid 1800's,... Chris studies the original rifles of this area and his re-creations are true to that regional style,... Cades Cove Fiddler,... specs,... Ed Rayl custom 13/16" barrel, .40cal, 45" long,... 13 1/2 L.O.P, .. 4" drop at heel, all fittings hand forged ...(click on photos will enlarge)

Takes a lot to make my jaw drop. All I can say is it's just possibly one of the nicest Tennessee rifles I've seen in a very long time. Thanks for sharing it with us.

That is a beautiful rifle, and I enjoyed seeing the originals, also.  Would it be historically accurate to have that same rifle in flintlock?  When did that area switch to percussion, I thought I read that flintlocks persisted longer in those rural areas of Tennessee than in most places.
