Teflon or dry lubed patches for round ball — or unformed cloth
« on: September 21, 2022, 03:43:29 AM »
I seek a source for teflon or dry lubed patches for round ball — or unformed cloth. I think I remember that several years ago teflon coated patches were available. Then I had no interest, so I paid little attention to sources. Now I have a need.

Try water soluble oil 1 WS oil to 5-7 parts water. Mix well. Wet the patches and then allow them to dry to evaporate all the water leaving a patch is is just slightly lubed. Teflon patching seems to have gone away. I could not find any when I searched for it a few years back. But if one went the Friendship it could be its still available???

Contact the vendor that Marc provided, https://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=62049.msg622231#msg622231.
I found him to be a nice guy to work with. I'll bet that the Teflon coated is as good as his untreated patch material, which is top notch.

I am now using ballistol:water 1:5, wring out, let dry.  That shrank my groups significantly.  I do damp patch between shots.
