Working on the Moravian today at Jeff Talbert's workshop. The Ramrod channel is drilled. The stock trimmed downed on the band saw.

Here's some recent updates on progress. We shaped the stock on the bandsaw, inlet the back of the barrel. We are almost done inletting the bolster and tang.

Jeff taught me how to make the Barrel underlugs.

Your bandsaw pictures gave me the vapours!!  If I may be so bold, please lower the blade guard to expose only enough blade to do the cutting.  With the guard that high, it looks like you might be cutting steaks off a back bone...very dangerous.

Taylor, it’s a metal cutting band saw.  There is no such guard.

Looks like it's all good....for accidentally  cutting off important body parts  :(
I like to have only as much exposed blade as I need

I am quite surprised it has no blade guard as well.

It's one of the variable speed potable metal cutting bandsaws. The one shown is from Harbor Freight. Looks like it has  has been placed in a homemade holder and a small table added to function as an upright bandsaw. A clever set up. However, carelessness can still get produce nasty cuts, even at slow metal cutting speeds.
