I have made inquiries of collectors and publications many times over the years and could get no additional information concerning this reference from "History of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County. PA" by O.J.Harvey and E.G. Smith (1929) Vol. IV. The excerpt refers to approximately 1819 and says: " a gun smithery on the north side of the Square, with Jacob Young as chief artisan". I assume a Young by way of Easton, PA but also I would consider the large population that migrated into NEPA from Conn. and NY. A signed Young gun with some New England features ?? Anyone ??
