From all the experience on here I tried to incorporate the advice into my carving. Handling original rifles definitely helps!

While it’s not perfect I think I made some strides…

Your inletting appears pretty good, Jd.  Little more work on smooth corners and by jove, I think you've got it!!
not sure the tail on the right works for me, but the overall symmetry looks pretty good.

I put my best effort and patience into this one!
I have learned a great deal from observing and handling originals. Cannot wait for the next show- or h till I acquire an original myself.

In the mean time I’ll continue at my own craft. Looking for tips and tricks to improve.
