Tench Coxe was U.S. Purveyor of Public Supplies in the early national period, so his name is on some of the contracts for muskets and other arms in that period. He was an important figure during the Revolution and early years of the republic, including in the adoption of the Bill of Rights. There is a lot out there on him if you look him up.
