Need file ID
« on: January 21, 2023, 12:13:01 AM »
I bought a neat little file today. Didn’t cost very much, but I have no idea what kind it is. Since the knowledge base here is quite vast, I’ll see if any of y’all can ID it.

Yes,a TAPERED Barrette and I have a set of miniature file from Germany that cost over $100 in 1980 that has one and another set of miniatures from China that cost $9 ;D that work just as well.

I have a worn out barrette that I use as a scraper for cleaning up brass castings. Nice clean, sharp and well hardened edge makes short work polishing a buttplate or triggerguard.

It’s a tiny file, just barely longer than my finger. We got a local tool supplier that had a large assortment of files. Many of them are various NOS American brands. I’m in tool hoarder heaven in that place.
