My Woodsrunner
« on: January 06, 2023, 10:07:48 PM »
I want to say Jim Kibler has hit his Woodsrunner kit out of the park. The fit is outstanding and makes it great for a someone like me. I did add a toeplate and taller sights for these old eyes. My Woodsrunner for me, is the best handling muzzleloader I've put to my shoulder. The balance makes it a very comfortable to aim offhand. When I put it to my shoulder, I don't have to search for the sights, it's just fits. I'm still in the sighting in phase and I will say, this will be my go to deer rifle and maybe more.

Great looking gun with no half circle for a butt plate. A half stock English flint lock sporting rifle and any caliber
would be a great companion piece for this rifle and the lock is available,

Really Nice.
Do you have a picture of the complete rifle from the lock side?
I wish there was a picture of all three, next to each other, for comparison. (Mr Kibler? Please!)
Still cant decide which one to choose. My favortite from its looks is the Mountain rifle. But I wish it was available in cal 50.

That's a really good looking rifle and you did a great job on it.  Of all the kits Jim offers the Woodsrunner in .54 is the one I want.

Ok, here’s a picture with all three Kibler models. Woodsrunner is obviously still a work in progress. The fourth is a fowler that I built from a blank. I’m just insecure enough that I wanted to include it to show that not all my guns were Kiblers.

Thank you Sir! What a longrifle treasure!
And very interesting because I thought the SMR would be longer and appear much slender next to the Colonial.
Neither does the Woodsrunner  appear like a shorty next to the other two, as I expected.

Thanks fellers for the compliments! Jim has built a game changer with this rifle. The Woodsrunner is such a well balanced rifle, it's a pleasure to put to your shoulder.
