Hello. I'm the new guy here. I was wondering if anybody here could show me a picture or some examples of what a ghost finial is on a patchbox. Thanks, Fred

Sean, why not post them here so we can all see. I haven't the foggiest idea what a Ghost Finial is.

Sorry guys, don't have a photobucket account for this stuff and the stuff I sent him is copyrighted. What he's asking about is a term I used on another board. It refers to the general shape of the finial on 1840's and 50's Leman and Deringer 4-piece patchboxes. The first Leman pictured on this link is an example:
