Swedish kruttyg bandoliers
« on: February 22, 2023, 08:37:09 PM »
I saw these on Facebook after Anders, from Sweden shared them.
I really like this idea, and will be making a set for myself.
The idea being a super lightweight bandoleer with everything that you need to feed/maintain your rifle for a hunt or maybe a short shoot.
You grab your gun, sling this over your shoulder and you're good to go.
I think they would be great for a hunt or maybe a woodswalk.

Very interesting. Seems a lot of folks these days would be pretty lost with those,,,, where would they put all the other stuff folks seem to want to put in their shot pouch....
The second one has me a little stumped. What I thought was a powder measure appears to be closed at both ends,,, and it isn't much smaller than the powder horns. If one's horn doesn't even carry two fills of the measure, why bother with a  measure?

Very neat, thanks for sharing.

It is always funny to see how much stuff people carry on a woodswalk shoot. Looks like they're packing for a 2 month vacation. I know one guy that carries a short starter with a 3" brass ball handle. It probably weighs 4 pounds
I think on here, that might be for storing caps or maybe patches or grease.

yeah. I'm usually lurking around. This has been the winter of non stop sick. I had knee surgery, a cold, flu, norovirus and covid. It's been awful

Great idea. I also see people on a 15 shot trail walk carrying enough stuff to mount an expedition. This is a totally functional and working idea.
Justin I am glad to see you back posting. Just hasn't been the same without you. Welcome back.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mike. I'll be getting into more projects as it warms up, and I have more time.  I really like these Kruttyg ideas. I think it's a simple brilliance.
