Does anyone know anything about them? I understand that there are about 8-10 known. Value?

Rock Island Auction sold this one in 2021 for $17,250.

Charles W. Thayer wrote about the armory a bit in this article, and it is also discussed in Moller's first volume of American Military Shoulder Arms.

Thanks Seth. I was aware of the article, but not of the auction. I just got one in a trade that is in totally attic condition and I'm trying to do some research.
