Help x 2
« on: November 17, 2009, 05:12:09 AM »
Gentlemen,

Starting Wednesday evening, The Outdoor Channel, Shooting USA's "Impossible Shots" is starting reruns of last seasons episodes. I am featured shooting my flintlock rifle.

Due to your overwhelming response, we just completed shooting the 2010 season and are planning more episodes to be filmed next Spring.

I am very grateful and would like to thank all who contacted the program to encourage them to do more with black powder guns.

For those of you who have not seen the program, I encourage you to watch for the next six weeks and if you like what you see write to jim@shootingusa.com and tell him you enjoyed the flintlock segment.

It is my hope that we can carry this on and get more shooters interested in the sport.

Again I thank all of you for your support. I hope you enjoy the program.

You are doing a great job with this,  so keep up the good work.
I suppose I better contact them with encouragement.

Thank you for the heads up on these, and for your work to promote muzzleloading and the shooting sports.

Just saw it....great stuff!  Really loved the 58 that you used and the shots made.   Thanks again for the heads up on this, and hope to see this segment continue.

Saw one last night (by accident while surfing) the charcoal briquet and string!!
Now George I tried to guess at the distance and came up with abt 22 yds. how far am I off???

I'm handicaping myself somewhat with my piddling little .45....

Our club hangs a wine jug (filled) at 35 yds in a dark bunker to cut the string for the jug) at a dollar a shot offhand.  We had one guy that took it off with a .32 regular.  But he's paying for it now!!

Nice going George!    ;D

Hi Roger, I'd say your in the ballpark. We figured 25 yards for the first two shots. When I set up the string in front of the charcoal I estimated about 10 yds. between the two.

I give your friend credit, I've done it with a .32, it's not easy.

For those of you who are interested, Charlie Wallingford from Union, KY. made the rifle.

Thanks for your support.
