I know his stocks varied.  He liked to make unique rifles.  I've not seen a cheek piece like yours, but that
doesn't mean anything.  There is alot of information published about him.  I think he was the son of Jacob Mier
also a gunsmith.  Gunsmiths of Western PA Volume 1 has information on him published by Dr. Whisker.  That book
can usually be found online.  Sorry I don't have more time to look it up.  Contact Lannie Dietle on Facebook.  He is your
best source.  There is probably information published by him already on korns.org.  Do a google search.

Interesting rifle, and thanks for posting it here.

On the brass, with the discolored areas, I wonder if you can tell if the brass parts had possibly been plated when new?

I have a rifle with a similar look to the brass; It looks like brass with a gold wash, and the gold wash has started to peel off.

I believe someone years ago put varnish or some sort of finish on it and it is now wearing off.
