Taylor, I collect Pennsylvania/Kentucky rifles and have a few Leman rifles. I have two with Lancaster style patch boxes and I believe to be early Lemans (mid 1840s-1850) before Leman adopted the ubiquitous circular cap box. Surprisingly, I haven't found many resources for Leman rifles despite being extremely prolific. I have seen only one other Leman rifle with a straight plain patch box in my research. If you have any info on either I would sincerely appreciate it.
