First Pipe Tomahawk
« on: April 21, 2023, 06:09:26 PM »
I'm newly retired so have time for some fun projects. I bought most of these parts 15 years ago, silver soldered the steel base into the bronze after I bought it then it been sitting in my parts drawer.

My first attempt at pouring pewter and the brass rings were a challenge to inlet to pin into place. Made some small nails form 1/16 brazing rod to pin the brass down.

Nothing too fancy, just a fun project.

Inletting the steel bit into the brass is tricky; yours looks pretty good to me.  JZ
