Here’s a few pics of haversack painting progression. My haversacks are “inspired” by the 18th-19th century accoutrements.
Underpainting then overpainting from light to dark until I’m happy with it…then stitching to the haversack bag my wife Janet has made. The strap is handwoven. This will be one of the centerpieces for my display at the upcoming CLA show in Lexington Kentucky this August.
