Very nice what did he use to enhance the stock and finish thank you in advance I would like to replicate on my Kibler SMR .
Thank you Boone , Glass with all the contemplate I read with todays (shooter's lightly taken as such) , you keep things simple .

I think this was just stained with iron nitrate.  A little amber transtint dye was probably added to the finish oil as well.  I believe it was largely finished with Permalyn, but the last few coats were Tried and True Varnish Oil. 

This was from some wood we had a year or so ago.

very nice Jim, i just ordered a SMR from you with extra fancy maple, i think i will do my wood the same way,,,,,,,,,,,
I have never "harvested" a critter but I have killed quite a few,,,,,,,,,,,
